CNY Golfer going strong into our 5th year!

The word is out. CNY Golfer is a hit with both amateur golfers and professionals in the Central New York State area. So much so, that we continue to add new features to both our newspaper and website, CNYGolfer.com.

Our Course Locator Map showcases courses in the region; Travel Savvy includes information on travel and money-saving packages; a very helpful column on managing the health aspects of the  game comes from our very own Dr. Holly Noun;  and each issue contains the latest in tournament results and scores. Fashion Forward notes cool new golf attire and we talk about course news such as the new island green 8th hole at Vesper Hills. A Slice of History revealing interesting facts about architects who have built courses in Central New York like A.W. Tillinghast, RT Jones and Donald Ross. We also hear from Perry Noun, co-publisher and host of “Tee Time with the Pronoun” airing every Saturday morning from 7 A.M. to 8 A.M. on News Radio 570 WSYR 106.9 F.M..

Inside the Lines gives you news from the professional side and Feats of Brilliance reports those unusual things that happen like holes-in-one, shooting your age and winning a big one for the first time. To heighten your joy of the game, we look to experts to give you ways to enhance your enjoyment of golf while Fran Piraino, our con- tributing editor, has penned interesting profiles on local golf personalities and achievers.

Perhaps most fun of all, we pack each issue with photos of golfers in CNY as they play, compete and just enjoy being around the game. And yes: we still believe there are some who want to sit down, maybe under a tree in the backyard or or in the living room as the snow flies with a cup of Joe and read a newspaper about golf.

​

And yes, we are both golfers. Perry is a solid single digit player who goes out just about every day and hits the ball around as well as compete in local and national tournaments (with great success) while Kathie has played the games all her life but sad to say,  still can't putt.
